fruta.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. These Lychees are soo good.

up the volcano we go.

Don't be alarmed, the volcano is inactive...hence all the vegetation and people living there. Though the clouds never let up to get any sort of view of San Salvador we were able to see a bit on the other side. The air was a amazing, a combination of wood burning stoves and dewy air, it couldn't have been better.

strrriiiike!

Due to some clouds trying to swallow the city, we decided to head to the local bowling alley. Everything was as you would expect, a child's birthday party (princess themed), a snack stand, teenagers loitering. Just like home, only difference was I was one of the best bowlers in the place.

talk about a view.

fisherman's wharf.

i instantly compared this to San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. from start to finish it's all done on this pier. grab a boat, head out to some risky waters, catch it all from crab, snapper, shrimp and haul 'em back to pre-production then they go a few feet away and the sellers do what they do best...yell out anything to get you to buy. i spared close up dead fish photos, but there were some really impressive catches.
