snap that hat.
the lovely Lindsey Bissett snapped some gorgeous photos of kelly (and watson) sporting the newest pfunk addition. i took the opportunity to snap some photos myself.
shower time
all the girls headed out to the great land of Schaumburg this past Sunday for a fun filled bridal shower in honor of the great sara roach. we met at Wildfire, drank mimosas, stuffed our faces with delicious food and laughed way too much. twas a good day for a celebration. see ya at the wedding!

estate sale-ing.
what better way to recycle than buying from estate sales? it's incredible looking through what someone has acquired over so many years. it also helps to put yourself in check and maybe go through that junk drawer when you get home. we had a great day left feeling success, and not just random goodies you would undoubtably put on a shelf and forget about. i'm talking irons, punch bowls, camera tripods, a halloween decoration that speaks when you walk by. good stuff.
zack & kami prendergast
these two, as Kami would say, are pretty fantastic. i am a little biased with Zack being my older brother, but these two are for real. They decided from the beginning they would both be involved in the planning and executing of this wedding, it was theirs. and i couldn't be more impressed with how everything came together. Zack even created the Save the Date in a word document, that's how hands on they were.
these two. an example of how love works.
congratulations!

corntastic!
so, it's no secret i have an obsession with charred corn recipes. and sam knowing all too well my love for the cob goodness sent me a new recipe that we would most certainly enjoy. and what more perfect of a time to try it out than a bbq at the sohmer-rosenbergers. twas a success! were there any doubts? nope. i recommend devouring as soon as the corn has cooled enough for you to sink your teeth into and enjoy... then repeat.
i want to be a guitar hero.
i have a love affair with guitar hero and thankfully the feelings are mutual. though, there are usually months in between jam sessions i'm always pick up right where i left off. i find myself turning into a toddler who doesn't want to share their favorite toy, and has to begrudgingly hand over the guitar to the next person waiting patiently to experience the feeling of becoming a guitar hero. hopefully Emily & Emilio (our band) will soon start touring at a city near you.
a look back.
a trolley good time.
being somewhat connoisseurs of fun, my friends and i understand the importance of having a good time. this is especially true when it comes to celebrating birthdays. the double birthday (ld & kari!) trolley ride has become a tradition, four years and counting, which has from the first year made it an event all look forward to enjoying. if you haven't yourself had the opportunity to experience a trolley ride with good friends in chicago i demand you do so. three hours spent driving anywhere you like, stopping for photo shoots in front of buckingham fountain, pit stops at different neighborhood bars for a celebratory drink, chanting to pedestrians to "KISS KISS KISS". when in the trolley, you are invisible. which is why i'm looking forward to "happy birthday trolley 2012"! Ld and Kari, i'm glad you were born and celebrate that special day trolley style :)
